Unlike a routine trip to the physician, your first visit with Sunshine Dentists will feel very different. We want it to feel like a concierge experience. After your greeting, patient tour, and introductions, we want to “wow” you with our thorough evaluation.
We take a whole-body approach to your care and really want to understand all of you, not just your teeth. 3D scanning and photos are also part of the process, so we can review and co-diagnose if needed. You will hopefully always feel like a partner in your care, and we wish to address this from the very first visit. First Visit Experience
Getting to know you and your goals is a top priority.
We spend time (sometimes one to one and a half hours) getting to know you as a person, so you’re not just another patient in the dental chair in need of dental care.
Generally, dental hygiene cleanings are conducted at a separate visit as we like to create a more one-on-one patient experience during your first appointment.
Maybe we do things a little differently at our dental office in Burke, but it’s all done with you, your health, and your smile in mind. We take all the time you’ll give us to understand your logic and your goals for your oral and overall health.
Payment Options and Insurances
Sunshine Dentists accepts most PPO insurances and is happy to offer a complimentary benefits check. (If you ever have any questions about how much something costs or understanding your dental benefits, don’t hesitate to call Angelica!)
At this time, we are not accepting Medicare and Medicaid payments. We offer an assignment of benefits where you pay your portion upfront for your treatment, and then we get reimbursed by insurance. Our office will never leave you to try and maneuver through the incredibly confusing world of dental insurance coverage alone. We’re happy to file for you!
If you and your family are without dental insurance, we urge you to ask us about our in-house dental plan from Plan Forward. It’s an affordable way to get the care you need with discounts on select dental services you want. We also offer a discount to our valued senior customers. If you’re interested in learning more about third-party financing options, we can direct you to our friends at Cherry or CareCredit.

We’ve artfully equipped all our treatment rooms with computer monitors. 3D scanning and X-ray software powered by AI help us show you what we see for better understanding and clarity.
Neck pillows are standard, while blankets & wireless headphones are available as needed. If you need to rehydrate or refresh, you deserve complimentary still or bubbly water! And finally, a scented towel for your face is presented after each treatment.
